Most of us spend the majority of our time in our homes so it only makes sense to make them as beautiful and comfortable as can be. The question is where do you start? By taking inspiration from homes you admire and taking into account the things that stand out to you. Here is a list of 7 things most beautiful houses always have.
1. Beautiful homes have decor that flows
Beautiful homes tend to have decor that transitions smoothly from one room to the next. They have a theme that runs through most of the house. The theme could the most subtlest of detail or a more obvious one. An example could be bespoke blinds that match the theme of the house throughout. It also could be a particular type of artwork or colour. Whatever the running theme is, the transition from one room to the next is easy on the eye, feels natural, and isn’t too sudden or abrupt.

Cosy homes always have personal touches such as family photos. Pieces of furniture included in a home that have sentimental value also add some coziness and a personal touch due to the uniqueness of these items. Warm rugs, inviting colours, fresh scents and flowers are all traits of a home that feels lived in.

Bigger windows coupled with magnificent views will make a house look even more stunning. When the sun goes down, adequate artificial lighting is also needed to avoid a home feeling dull and depressing. Getting the right kind of light fitted in the right places is key to achieving a nice feel to your home, not to mention the added beauty.

Good furniture arrangement and well placed accessories add beauty to almost any home. Putting some thought into how your items are arranged creates a space you can easily use and move around in. Signs of a poorly planned space may include too many things placed in one room resulting in a cluttered feel.
