With Easter just around the corner it’s not too late to try and get the Easter feel into your home. There are lots of Easter decoration ideas to try. Here are 10 simple ones to give your home that lovely spring Easter feel.
1. Get fresh spring flowers
Tulips are the ultimate spring flower and one of my top Easter decoration ideas. Get a dozen tulip stems or even more in your favourite spring colours and you can arrange these in a vase of yours choice and place them on your dining/ table or console in your hallway.
2. Make or buy an Easter wreath
My next favourite Easter decoration idea is the Easter wreath. Get creative by purchasing supplies to make your own Easter wreath that you can hang on your front door. If you don’t have time for a bit of DIY you can get some brilliant wreath designs from your local home decor store or order online. I love flowers so my favourite is a tulip wreath. I find these stunning and so fitting of the season and occasion.
3. Paint some Easter decorations with your children
If you are looking for fun Easter decoration ideas, a great way is to get the kids involved. You can prep an area in your home where you can let them be creative by painting and making Easter decorations. If they are anything like my kids, they will love this and appreciate getting involved in the Easter decorations activities. You can also get them to decorate paper mache Easter eggs or have them come up with ideas of their own.
4. Design a pretty tablescape

I absolutely love pretty tablescapes so for me Easter is the perfect occasion to get creative and decorate your table. Add items like garland, candles, placemats and pretty flowers. There’s nothing that brings home that Easter feel like a lovely decorated dining table. If the weather allows, you can take the tablescape outside if you have an outdoor table. Or if you have some willing helpers, you can take your table outdoors for some fresh Easter celebrations.
6. Make a statement Easter Centrepiece

Depending on how creative and DIY savvy you are, you can make a statement Easter centrepiece to finish off your tablescape. I’ve come across some amazing centrepieces that are just stunning. You can personalise yours to suit your decor style and you will be good to go for Easter. If DIY is not your thing, you can still get some centrepieces your can customise yourself without having to start from scratch.
7. Decorate with ceramic eggs
I love ceramic eggs because you can decorate them yourself or get some ready made ones from places like Etsy. I love Etsy because you will find a lot of gorgeous Easter items made by amazing creatives. When done, you can place ceramic eggs in wicker baskets filled with hay or feathers around they house.
8. Easter garlands
Easter garlands are so pretty, colourful and are one of my favourites. You can get kits to make your own or buy ready made ones to put up on your mantle or as part of your tablescape. Another idea is to decorate your front entrance with them or let the garland run down your staircase handrails.
9. Easter themed bunting
One of the easiest ways to decorate for Easter is with bunting. This is something the kids will love to make with you if you are willing and patient. If you have a die cutting machine it will be so much quicker and easier. If you are pressed for time, most supermarkets should sell banting in the seasonal section.
10. Cake stand Easter decorations
I love cake stand Easter decorations. Apart from placing lovely Easter cakes or cookies, you can use this as a lovely base for your Easter decoration. Depending on what theme you are going for, you can arrange your decorations on your cake stand and making an amazing statement.
Easter is a time for family, love and celebration of Christ’s resurrection. I hope you enjoy your Easter with the family or friends you can have around this time.
